Weekend Video: Oreos

11 Mar

This past Wednesday (March 7), Nabisco’s famous Oreo cookies turned 100 years old!  And in the last century after being invented in Nabisco’s first factory in New York, they have sold nearly 500 billion cookies in over 100 different countries.

But even though Oreo production is now spread across multiple factories across the globe, the Oreo cookies we buy in America are made in America (Oreos sold overseas are made overseas and are designed and flavored differently to match local tastes).

Unfortunately though, I couldn’t find an Oreo factory tour online anywhere.  So instead, here’s a video of  Newman O’s production (which I’m sure is almost identical in process to the original Oreo production).
