2011 Gift Guide part 2: Colored Pencils

We hope everyone’s been enjoying the first part of our holiday gift guide.  As we wind down part one, finger paints, we’re going to start up part two.  Not straying far from the artistic theme, we’re going to dedicate part two to finding the most American-made colored pencil.

Whether you’re a graduate art student or a first grader, chances are, there is a colored pencil that is designed to meet your needs.  With such a variety on the market, we wanted to see what factors affect how ‘Made in America’ a pencil is.  It will also be fun to look into some new manufacturing processes and materials, like wood and wax.
