Making the Case for Made in America

15 Nov

A quick quote from a recent article from Epoch Times:

“China’s cost advantage is shrinking as workers demand higher pay, worker productivity is much lower than that of the American worker, land prices required to establish manufacturing facilities have risen, product quality problems have increased significantly over the past number of years, corruption is rampant, and shipping costs have increased manifold.

Production in China’s interior, despite cheap labor, does not have the infrastructure needed for moving production quickly, and labor lacks the skills to produce the goods.

In comparison, wages in the United States have declined due to the unemployment situation, America’s workforce is highly productive and has become more and more flexible, corruption is low, the dollar is weakening, and shipping costs are minimal when compared to shipments from overseas.”
